The goal of the Student Success Center is to provide relevant, high-quality one-on-one strategic planning meetings. Students will have learning opportunities and receive services that respond to diverse student and community needs and foster student success.
Student Success Coordinator
Lino Noe Gutierrez is the Student Success Center Coordinator directly working with new first year freshmen and transfer students through their first academic year at Washington State University Tri-Cities. He is responsible for developing and implementing retention-based strategies for new students.
Lino Gutierrez has worked in secondary and post-secondary education for the past 14 years. His administrative roles have been Director of GEAR UP through the University of Washington, Associate Director of TRiO at Heritage University, and Lead Coordinator of Advising at Heritage University.
Lino earned his Associate of Arts degree at Skagit Valley Community College in Mount Vernon, Wash., while on a baseball scholarship earning all NWACC honors. He finished his bachelor’s degree in public administration with a focus on program management through Heritage University.
He is a strong supporter of students at WSU Tri-Cities and is an ardent advocate for them and their success. He has extensive knowledge in campus awareness and resources. He actively works with students and faculty to bridge and strengthen communication between the two. He is active in the community as a coach for youth AAU basketball and youth softball.
