Eadie is currently the Campus Events Coordinator for Washington State University Tri-Cities. Prior to this position, Eadie worked as a Development Coordinator where she fundraised for the WSU Tri-Cities campus and its many initiatives, including scholarships. She also worked for WSU Pullman’s International Programs/Education Abroad for seven years, where she managed the study abroad and exchange programs for WSU. During this time, Eadie received the distinguished Employee Excellence Award from WSU President Sam Smith. Eadie attended Lower Columbia Community College, graduated from Western Business College, and currently attends Washington State University.

Lino Noe Gutierrez is the Student Success Center Coordinator since 2013. Lino Gutierrez has worked in secondary and post-secondary education for the past 14 years. His administrative roles have been Director of GEAR UP through the University of Washington, Associate Director of TRiO at Heritage University, and Lead Coordinator of Advising at Heritage University. Lino earned his Associate of Arts Degree at Skagit Valley Community College in Mount Vernon, Wash. He finished his bachelor’s degree in Public Administration with a focus on program management through Heritage University.

Scott Koopman came to WSU in 2011 with 20 years of full-time non-profit organization experience. Scott joined the Career Development Center in 2011 as a graduate staff assistant working with students as a career coach and event organizer. Scott earned his master’s degree in Business Administration in 2013 with special projects in student satisfaction surveys, career preparation workshops, one-on-one career coaching, and community partnerships. Scott is involved in student life as the Gaming Club advisor and supporter of student clubs in general.

Jarrod Larse joined WSU Tri-Cities in 2013 as an Admissions Counselor. He previously worked at WSU Pullman as a student ambassador for the Office of Admissions. In his time as a student, he also worked with Student Financial Services and was a staff member for the Office of New Student Programs’ Alive! orientation. Jarrod graduated from WSU with a bachelor’s degree in Humanities, emphasizing in Communication, Psychology, and Foreign Languages & Cultures.

Edward Lima is a Staff Assistant in the Career Development Center on the Tri-Cities campus. He is a sophomore studying Mechanical Engineering, and has been involved with student government as an ASWSUTC Senator since April of 2013.

Edward plans to complete his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and continue to earn his master’s at WSU Tri-Cities. He strongly believes that the Tri-City area has great opportunities for students involved in the STEM disciplines. Edward joined the Career Development Center to help students find opportunities in the same way the Center has helped him.

Keri earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Washington State University and her Master of Science with an emphasis on Social Psychology from Walden University. Keri is also on the President’s Commission for Gender Expression, Identity and Sexual Orientation. She started working at WSU Tri-Cities in 2012 after working in the Office of Student Success and Engagement at Columbia Basin College for three years.

Mariella Lora started as an Admissions Counselor in 2013. Mariella is also part of the Coalition for HB 1079 students at WSU Tri-Cities. She started working at WSU Tri-Cities in 2010 with the GEAR UP and Early Outreach Program. She previously worked as Assistant Director of Admissions at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Ga., from 2008 to 2010. Mariella earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Emmanuel College and is currently pursuing her Masters in Educational Leadership at WSU Tri-Cities. While pursuing her undergraduate studies, Mariella participated in the Latin American Studies Program in Costa Rica and was an International Marketing Consultant for the Chamber of Commerce in Los Santos region of Costa Rica. She was also participated in SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) and is a member of Sigma Beta Delta honor society.

Jana Kay Lunstad

Jana Kay Lunstad is responsible for admissions and recruitment in the Office of Enrollment Management, which was formed January 2012.

Jana Kay started work at WSU Tri-Cities in 2005 as the Academic Coordinator for Liberal Arts. She moved to the Chancellor’s Office as an Executive Assistant in 2007 and to the Office of the Vice Chancellors in 2009.

She previously worked at Utah State University as an Academic Advisor in the English Department and the University Advising and Transfer Center. Jana Kay taught freshman and English major orientation courses, helped develop the learning goals for the First Year Experience program, and was a founding member of Allies on Campus. She was recognized as the USU Professional Advisor of the Year in 2003, awarded the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) Certificate of Merit in 2004, and was one of two advisors in the nation who received the NACADA Summer Institute Scholarship in 2005. Prior to her career in advising, she served as the Assistant Director of Writing at USU.

Jana Kay earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from Utah State University. She is a graduate of Leadership Tri-Cities Class XIV (2008–09) and a former member of the Kennewick Arts Commission. She currently serves as the Chair of the Richland Public Library Board of Trustees and is an active member of Soroptimist International Three Rivers.

Steven Malone, Ph.D.

Steven Malone is a VA psychologist who works on campus with veterans. WSU Tri-Cities and the VA have teamed up to help veterans get behavioral health services on campus. Dr. Malone helps veterans with a wide variety of concerns. Counseling is not just for people with issues; counseling presents another means for growth and for making better decisions.

Previously, Dr. Malone worked in private practice, and as a postdoctoral fellow and a psychologist at the Portland VA Behavioral Medicine clinic. He earned his doctorate was attained at Virginia Tech and his bachelor’s at the University of Pennsylvania.

Brittany Naas began working for WSU Tri-Cities in the Summer of 2014. Prior to working for WSU Tri-Cities, Brittany interned at Portland State University in the Dean of Student Life Office, as the Student Conduct Graduate Intern, and was also the Career Development Graduate Intern at Linfield College. Brittany received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Communication Studies minor at Western Oregon University. She continued her studies by earning her master’s degree in Educational Leadership & Policy with a focus in Postsecondary Adult & Continuing Education from Portland State University. While pursuing her undergraduate studies, Brittany was the Coordinator for the Orientation Team, and organized several Service Learning Trips through Service Learning & Career Development, including taking a team of students to build schools in Honduras.

Kristy Phillips began working for WSU Tri-Cities in fall of 2013. Prior to working for WSU Tri-Cities, Kristy worked at the University of Texas at Arlington as the Graduate Recruiting Assistant for The Office of Graduate Studies. Kristy earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication at California State University, Bakersfield and was awarded the National Gold Key from Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) in 2010. She continued her studies by earning a master’s degree in Communication at University of Texas at Arlington. Her thesis was “Identifying Media Literacy Skills in College Students.” She is currently a chapter advisor for the Beta Sigma Chapter of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority at WSU Pullman.

Adriana Sánchez Sánchez is an admissions counselor in the Office of Enrollment Management. Adriana earned her master’s degree in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2013. Her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration is from WSU Pullman. She worked as a live-in graduate assistant/advisor for the Office of Residential Programs-Fraternity and Sorority Life at Columbia University in 2013. While pursuing her undergraduate studies at WSU, Adriana was a Student Leader and Parent Ambassador for the Alive Bilingüe! Orientation in 2008 and 2011. She was also a Mentor for the Office of Multicultural Student Services in 2010.

Geoff Schramm joined Washington State University in the spring of 2011. He has served as a career coach in the Career Development Center since October 2013. Darlene Scrivner is the Executive Assistant for the Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management and Student Services. Darlene started work at WSU Tri-Cities in 2006 as assistant to the Supervisor for Student Teaching and Office Assistant in the Education Department. In 2010 she became the Program Assistant for Professional Programs and moved to Career Development and the Undergraduate Advising Center as the Program Assistant in 2012. Darlene earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from WSU Tri-Cities and has started a master’s degree in Educational Leadership at WSU Tri-Cities.

Thomas Spotteck is Washington State University Tri-Cities inaugural resident assistant at the Timbers Apartment Complex. A native of Long Island, New York, Thomas is a Viticulture and Enology student who is anticipating receiving his degree in 2015. Thomas also served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps for 4 years.

Cherish Tijerina Pearson received her B.A. in History at WSU Tri-Cities. She has served in her position as Disability Services Coordinator since 2007, and as a financial aid counselor since 2013. She is a member of the Washington Association on Post-Secondary Education and Disability (WAPED). She is also a member of the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD). In her role as financial aid counselor, she is a member of the Western Association of Financial Aid Administrators (WAFAA).

Jordyn Wright is the Financial Aid and Scholarships Coordinator on campus since 2013. Jordyn previously worked as the Assistant Greek Advisor at the University of Idaho. She received her Master of Education in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Idaho, and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Political Science from there as well. Jordyn has her Certified Rehabilitation Counseling Certificate and is Stop the Hate trained. Jordyn is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, and as an undergraduate was active in the campus’s Panhellenic Council and Student Alumni Relations Board.

Lydia Zalubil is currently the Program Coordinator in the Registrar’s office. With an accounting degree from the Czech Republic, she began her career at WSU Tri-Cities in 1991, working in the copy/mail center and soon advanced to the receptionist position where she assisted with many of the admissions and registrar’s duties. She became part of the Student Affairs department in 2003.
