Directions from Interstate 182: Take Exit 5-B onto George Washington Way in Richland. Travel north about 5 miles. Turn right on Sprout Road. Turn left on University Drive to enter the campus.
The City of Richland will completely close the intersection at George Washington Way and First Street, 24 hours a day, from Thursday, Oct. 1, beginning at 8:30 a.m., through Nov. 16.
Detours will be in place:
Northbound at Spengler Street, diverted to Stevens Drive
Southbound at Horn Rapids Road, diverted to Stevens Drive
To get to the WSU Tri-Cities Consolidated Information Center from GW Way, turn right on Sprout then take the first left into the campus parking lot/Annex, turn left onto University Drive.
This work is part of the First Street project; this phase will include sewer installation and reconstruction of the intersection in preparation for installation of a traffic signal.
