The Search Committee for the next chancellor of WSU Tri-Cities is tasked with recommending top candidates to Washington State University President Elson S. Floyd. The committee is being assisted by R. William Funk & Associates, a search firm based in Dallas, Texas, that specializes in higher education leadership.

On September 19, 2012, representatives from R. William Funk and Associates visited campus and held a public forum and a series of meetings with members of the search committee and individuals from the campus and community.
Participants provided input on the challenges and opportunities they believe the campus is facing, as well as thoughts on the qualities desired in the next Chancellor.
