The Tri-Cities is an arid shrub-steppe region known for its sunny and dry weather. The landscape combines old-growth sagebrush with vibrant agriculture, highlighted by the Columbia, Snake and Yakima rivers. The population of 262,500 includes residents in the cities of Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, and West Richland, plus Benton and Franklin counties.
