Education:
He received his bacholor’s, master’s, and doctorate in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Missouri, Rolla in 1983, 1984, and 1993, respectively).

Expericence:
Dr. Vo has provided technical support and regulatory advisory for the NRC and industry in the development and implementation of nuclear reactor safety, risk-informed/ performance-based regulations, O&M for nuclear power plants, and nuclear safeguards and security.  Dr. Vo also provides technical advisory for the NRC in licensing renewal and reviews for current reactor generation, and design/certification/operation of new generation reactors including AP-1000 and ABWRs.

Areas of expertise - nuclear reactor safety; accident analysis & management; risk assessment & management methods and applications; risk-informed, performance-based regulations; nuclear fuel management; nuclear fuel cycle and waste management; regulatory and policy development; nuclear safeguards and security; nuclear Codes and Standards; code development and V&V; and reactor system models and computations.

Dr. Vo has co-authored five books, and has written over 150 papers and documents on power plant safety; risk assessment and management; reactor system safety; accident management; fuel management; cost/benefit and regulatory analyses; and policy development.

He was a peer reviewer of the Nuclear Technology Journal, published by the American Nuclear Society (ANS).  He is a member of numerous professional societies and technical committees including ASME Committees, ANS; and Society for Risk Analysis. Dr. Vo was an SRO for a Test & Research Reactor.  He is a PE in Nuclear Engineering.

 

Dr. Roger Reynolds

Education:
He received his bacholor’s in Engineering Science at the University of Nevada, Reno and his master’s and doctorate in Nuclear Engineering at Kansas State University.

Experience:
He was a Professor of Nuclear Engineering at Mississippi State University; a Reactor Engineer at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station; a Nuclear Fuels Engineer at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station; a Resident Associate & Visiting Scientist for the Zero Power Physics Reactor at the  Idaho National Laboratory; the Chief Technology Officer for AREVA NP Inc., North America; the Chief Engineer for Fuel America, AREVA NP Inc; and a Registered Professional Engineer

He is active in local and National American Nuclear Society and the National Society of Professional Engineers.  He is a member of Sigma Xi, Sigma Tau, Tau Beta Pi, and Pi Mu Epsilon honorary societies.  He specializes in thermal hydraulics, neutronics, reactor design, and nuclear fuel cycle analysis.
