Monday, Nov. 7 — Veterans Awareness week kick off event
and Donor Recognition, 11 a.m., at the site outside the East Building parking lot at the corner of
Crimson Way and Sprout Road. Join us to recognize donors to the Veterans Monument and learn how you can submit stories to be etched in bronze. Thank you to Legends Casino, Ice Harbor Brewing, Columbia Center Rotary Club, Coug Parent Program and more.


Tuesday Nov. 8 — Veterans Resource Fair, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., West Atrium

Learn about the services available regionally for veterans and attend a workshop on time management, stress management,or PTSD.


Wednesday, Nov. 9 — "The Welcome" film showing, Film showing is at 5 p.m.,
Battelle Auditorium, 902 Battelle Blvd., Richland.

Admission is a non-perishable food item.
Sponsored by ASWSUTC, this award-winning film offers an intimate view of life after war as
told by the multi-generational cast of veterans themselves.


Thursday, Nov. 10 — Veterans Day Ceremony, 4:30 to 6 p.m., West Atrium.

This event will include a panel discussion and veterans day recognition, theme of event is Veterans
Succeeding In Higher Education and After.


Friday, Nov. 11 — Veterans Club Association and Support members and the

WSU Tri-Cities Office of Veterans Affairs will be part of the
National Roll Call, 11 a.m., Veterans Monument site at WSU Tri-Cities, outside the
East Building at the corner of Crimson Way and Sprout Road.
This national event recognizes those we have lost in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
— Spaghetti Feed, 5 to 7 p.m., Elks Lodge, 15 S. Colorado St. (behind the flashcube building),
Kennewick. Cost $10. Half of all the proceeds go towards the Veterans Monument at WSU Tri-Cities.
— Campus is closed, no classes are held Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day.


Saturday, Nov. 12 — Veterans Ball, 6 p.m., Terra Blanca Winery

on Red Mountain. This black-tie event includes music, dinner, and a silent auction to benefit the Veterans Monument. Co-sponsored by ASWSUTC and the VCAS. Tickets cost $25/student, $55/student with guest, and $55 each for community members. Purchase at the cashier's window, (509)372-7498 East 254, by Nov. 10 Tickets can be purchased at the Door.
