Assistant Clinical Professor
Srinivas Allena (2010) received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering from New Mexico State University. Allena came to WSU Tri-Cities in 2011 from New Mexico State University where he was performing Post-Doctoral research. He currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor. His research interests include ultra-high performance concrete, engineered cementitious composites and early-age and longer term shrinkage of concrete.
Yonas Demissie (2008) received his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Demissie came to WSU Tri-Cities in 2012 from Argonne National Laboratory where he was performing Post-Doctoral research. His research interest focuses on assessment of water resources sustainability under natural and human induced changes and uncertainties.
Akram Hossain (1989) received his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Washington State University. He also holds MS degrees in Environmental and Geotechnical Engineering. Hossain came to WSU Tri-Cities in 1994 from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. His research interests include reaction kinetics, modeling of flow and contaminant transport in the subsurface, and modeling of adsorption in a packed bed reactor.
