About The Element

Individual creativity is the foundation of innovative thought and the educational experience. At WSU Tri-Cities, we believe that fostering and displaying this creativity, the "element" of free thought, is essential to stimulating a progressive and thorough learning environment. We hope to maintain a student body rich with diverse and unsuppressed ideas, and feel that exhibiting the creative works of the student body is an effective way to perpetuate these ideas. We at The Element take special pride in our intrinsically linked university and community, and we expect the quality and content of this online journal to be a reflection of this pride.

Mission Statement

The Element seeks to serve the university by spurring creativity and encouraging expression among its students. It is our desire to promote and display the high quality fiction, poetry, art, non-fiction, video, and other creative expressions our fellow students produce.
