The Consolidated Libraries house an on-site collection of over a million items including books, periodicals, government documents, microfilm, microfiche, electronic databases and reference materials for a total of more than a million items. Facilities include study carrels for individual study, tables for quiet group study, a reading area for current journals, and a conference-classroom providing space for classes, library orientation, meetings, or group study.

WSU faculty, staff, and students may check out circulating materials from the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) Technical Library . Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) Technical Library customers may check out WSU Benitz Library circulating materials, as can members of the general public when processed as Temporary Borrowers.
Wireless computer access to the campus network, and the Library's electronic resources, is available in the library and around campus to currently enrolled WSU Tri-Cities students owning laptop computers with a wireless modem. The computers must first be registered with campus Computer Services, CIC Rm. 225. Laptop computers with built-in wireless modems are also available for students to check out from the Library Circulation Desk.
Columbia Basin College (CBC) students may borrow WSU Library materials and WSU students may borrow materials from the CBC Library. Click here to access the CBC Web-based catalog.
