
What is CHIP?
CHIP is a seven-week community-based lifestyle intervention program aimed at substantially decreasing the risk of coronary artery disease and chronic diseases (such as type 2 diabetes, essential hypertension, and obesity) through appropriate lifestyle change.
Since its initiation in 1988, it has graduated more than 50,000 people from four continents and 250 cities.
Its goal is to provide participants with an understanding of the cause-effect relationship among diet, exercise and disease so they become increasingly motivated to make lifestyle changes.
CHIP informs, motivates and then supports the necessary changes for improved health.
