The Washington State University Tri-Cities Master Plan depicts a vision for how land use and facilities may evolve as the University community continues to grow.
This phased development plan was created in fall 2008 by TVA Architects of Portland, Ore., under contract to Washington State University’s Capital Planning and Development. It was developed in conjunction with concurrent master planning projects for property adjacent to the campus for the Tri-Cities Research District, Solaris Group, LLC, and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
The 200-acre campus supports the teaching, research, and public service missions of WSU Tri-Cities. Facilities will continue to be developed to support a vibrant student life, enhanced cultural and recreational activities, and expanded academic programs. Plans also include buildings that can leverage partnerships with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, agriculture, and other industries to foster collaborative research and to develop innovative processes and technologies that can make a difference of the economy of the state and on the lives of its residents.
