Interviewing

You’ve applied for a few positions and now you have an interview. Prepare by reviewing your personal traits, details of the company and specifics of the job description.

Planning and Preparation

Research the job and the company, organize your thoughts, and plan out your answers for as many questions as possible. Often, as much as 80% of interview questions are completely predictable. Our experienced Career Advising staff can help you figure out which question are likely to be asked. Stop by the Career Development Center to talk with a Career Advisor and we’ll help take the mystery out of your upcoming interview, or check out a career workshop on interviewing skills.

Mock Interviews

The best way to prepare for an interview is to practice. We’re happy to do a mock interview in which you’ll practice answering questions in a realistic interview setting — we’ll even video record the session for you to review afterward. Request an appointment with a Career Advisor or drop-in during the designated hours to set up your mock interview.
