About Student Employment

As an employer, hiring students is a highly rewarding experience that brings fresh ideas and talent into your organization and allows you to participate in the education of our future workforce. We can help you connect your short-term and long-term needs with WSU Tri-Cities’ students.

Hire a Student

Could your business benefit from hiring part-time, seasonal, or temporary workers? Are you interested in providing an internship or co-op work experience to a student? Or are you seeking a student who is near graduation or has already received a degree? Send your job posting or advertisement to: careers@tricity.wsu.edu or fax to 509-372-7676. We will promote your opportunities, at no cost to you, among students at WSU Tri-Cities.

If you’d like to reach WSU students in Pullman and Vancouver, you can also use our free posting service WSU CareerLink.

Find a Work Study Student

For more than 25 years, Washington employers have turned to the State Work Study program to help with their part-time staffing needs. Employers like you can hire bright, energetic college students while previewing talent for future hire. To encourage employers like you to participate, the state will reimburse 65% to 80% of the student’s wages. You save money on wages, on-the-job training, and save again on future recruitment and hiring costs. Also, as a participating employer, you’re not the only one who benefits. You help students explore career options, hone skills, and gain practical experience while they earn money for college. Find out how to become a State Work Study employer at www.wsac.wa.gov/employers/. To identify Work Study students at WSU Tri-Cities, e-mail workstudy@tricity.wsu.edu or call 509-372-7172.
