Science for Lunch, 12 p.m., FEQL
Science for Lunch! Bring your lunch and learn about science and research. Free and open to the campus and the community. Students are especially encouraged to attend.
Dr. Vince Hebert gives a tour of the Food & Environmental Quality Laboratory, downstairs in the East building.
The idea here is to provide a Lab “show and tell” for undergraduate science students not familiar with the resources and academic research at the FEQL. There are possible Env_Sci graduate research or internships on public health (Hebert) or bee health (Felsot) research the FEQL plans on be doing in 2014.
This would also be an opportune time to have V&E students interested in taking the spring 1 credit Hort 499 “chromatographic analyses of finished wines” special topics offering stop by the Lab. For those who attend, I will provide an overview of the course content (with pizza to boot!). This lab-intensive offering will be restricted to four slots with V&E seniors receiving priority.
