Washington State University Tri-Cities announces
Chancellorʼs Exhibition Series & Award
A regional juried exhibition series
On view February 4 – June 14 2013

WSU Tri-Cities announces a semiannual juried exhibition series designed to
showcase the remarkable art of the Columbia Valley region. Two times each
year, a jury will select one or more artists to feature in our newly designated
exhibition space in the administration corridor of the East Building. After each
selection process, one work will be chosen for the Chancellorʼs Award and cash
prize. The recipient of the award is encouraged (but, not obligated) to donate the
work to WSU Tri-Cities as part of its permanent collection.

January 31 - Work(s) due at WSU Tri-Cities
February 04 - Exhibition on view
February 05 - Public Reception (from 5-6 PM, East Building)
June 14 - Exhibition closes
June 17/18 - Retrieve Work

Digital imaging, drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, glass or any
other media is eligible and encouraged. All work must be made ready for
presentation and and/or wired for hanging. No “sawtooth” hangers, please.

Digital submission is preferred. Send an email containing JPEGs no larger than
500KB per image. Include a numbered works list with your submission stating
title of work (untitled, if so named), medium, dimensions and declared value.
Alternatively, you can send a CD via standard mail. If you would like your
materials returned, include the appropriate packaging and postage.


Delivery and Return of Work
The artist is responsible for delivery/pickup and/or all shipping and packaging
fees (including return postage and packaging). Shipping insurance is strongly
recommended. Please insure that your work is appropriately insulated from
damage. WSU Tri-Cities is not responsible for damage due to improper
packaging or loss while in transit.

The WSU Tri-Cities Exhibition Center will give objects left in its custody the same
care provided similar property of its own. When closed, all work will be kept in a
locked environment. While open to the public, the Exhibition Center will
provide intermittent supervision. Please note: Washington State University is
covered by the State of Washington Self-Insurance Program and the Tort Claims
Act (RCW 4.92.060 et seq.). Claims against Washington State University and its
employees, officers, and agents in the performance of their duties and this
Agreement will be paid from the tort claims liability account as provided in RCW
If your work is accepted, your submission and delivery of the artwork indicates
your understanding that you are obligated to loan it to WSU Tri-Cities for the
duration of the exhibition.

No Entry Form Required
However, your entry must include your name, address, phone number,
email address and a list of the works submitted including title, medium,
dimensions, and price (or NFS if not for sale).
