Business in the Cloud: Understanding Technology as a Service will be the topic of the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Jan. 31 Business Development University sponsored by Bank Reale.

The workshop will be from 1-3 p.m. in the Bechtel Board Room of the Tri-Cities Business & Visitor Center, 7130 W. Grandridge Blvd., Kennewick.

George Woodward of elevate and Nancy Ashley, Ph.D., of Washington State University Tri-Cities will discuss how to:

-- Translate cloud jargon into plain English.

-- Cut out the hype and take a hard look at what the cloud can and can’t do. -- Know the pros, cons, risks and rewards of using the cloud in your business. Cost is $25 for chamber members, $35 for non-members. Reservations are due by Jan. 30; call 736-0510.
