The majors in business available at the Washington State University Tri-Cities campus include accounting, accounting and information systems, business administration and management and operations (organizational track). Minors include accounting, business administration, human resources and personnel, and information systems.

In addition to getting Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, students may elect to get a minor in an area of business that will help them achieve their career goals. Minors typically consist of a minimum of 18 semester hours of work in a particular area of business.

Some minors may require additional 100 and 200 level courses to be taken through the WSU distance degree program or at another college or university.
Students should consult the WSU Catalog for more information on the requirements for the various minors or contact a business advisor.
- Transfer students who began their initial post secondary enrollment prior to Fall 1993 will not be held to these requirements. Students who entered WSU as freshmen Fall 1991-Spring 1993 will be held to three hours of World Civilizations.
- Students who began their initial post secondary enrollment prior to Fall 1993 must complete 6 hours of humanities unless they have a transferable “AA” degree.
- The following substitutes will be accepted for students transferring from other schools: Math 172 or 220 for Math 201; Math 140, 171 or 206 for Math 202.
- Required for new WSU freshmen starting Fall 1997 and students transferring to WSU Fall 1999 or after.
- To be taken after completion of all other core courses, usually during senior year.
- Required for students who have an initial post-secondary enrollment date of Fall 1995 or later. All Tier III courses will have prerequisites of lower division GER courses. Careful planning must be employed.
- Required for students who have an initial post secondary enrollment date of Fall 2000 or after. Students must take one course that carries [D] GER designation.
- Required for all business majors who certify after August 20th , 2007.
