Down by the River
Life is pretty good in the Tri-Cities.
We average 300 days of sunshine every year. We've got three rivers that join up around us, which lets us put those 300 days of sun to good use. Water sports not your thing? That's OK, we have golf courses, a booming wine industry, bike and running paths throughout the community (one along our own campus), and miles of beautiful sagebrush-covered hills just begging to be scaled.
Of course, we also have a pretty fantastic music and nightlife scene, thanks to venues like the Red Room in Kennewick and Ray's Golden Lion in Richland. You can bet there's something going on every weekend. Curious? Check out Atomictown to see what's going on tonight, tomorrow, and beyond.
If you're wanting more of the big city vibe without the big city living cost, you're only a 3.5 hour drive away from Seattle and Portland. For the smaller big city vibe, Spokane is a little over two hours away. Want something a little more quaint? Ellensburg is two hours to the west, and Walla Walla is an hour to the east. Just pick a direction and you're bound to find something to fit your weekend adventure needs, perfect on any budget.
Student Life
Activities & Organizations
Interested in getting involved? Of course you are! Clubs, entertainment boards, cultural events, intramural sports — you want it, we've got it. We've also got a list of what's happening around town.
Campus Leadership & Service
Maybe you don't want to be just involved, maybe you want to lead. If that's the case, check out our leadership and service opportunities.
Ask a Student
Fill out our form and ask one of our students about life on campus, around town, academic programs, the cougar college experience, what they think of the campus art gallery — whatever comes to mind!
Housing
While we don't offer on-campus housing (yet), we can at least point you in the right direction for a place that you can call home during your stay on the Tri-Cities campus.
