The mission is to address the issues of multiculturalism and
diversity for the campus, and provide guidance to enhance its
ethnic and racial diversity through the recruitment and retention
of a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.
Multicultural Services supports the Plan of Action to enhance
ethnic diversity under three goals: a) provide an academic
environment that recognizes and appreciates the value of diversity
and supports the well-being and success of all participants
in a multicultural community, b) encourage the hiring and retention
of faculty and staff of color, and c) increase student of color
enrollments and graduation rates that reflect the diversity
of the population in the area.
