The priority deadline for filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is February 15 every year.
A FAFSA needs to be filed for each year. Make sure you are filling out the correct FAFSA for the term you want to receive aid in.
File a 2009-2010 FAFSA for Fall 2009, Spring 2010 or Summer 2010*
Starting January 1, 2010 file your 2010-2011 FAFSA for Fall 2010, Spring 2011, Summer 2011*
*Summer requires an additional form at WSU as well as the FAFSA. The Summer Financial Aid form is in your MyWSU portal. Log in and select finances, select aid, select Apply for Summer Financial Aid on the right-hand side.

Authorization for Direct Deposit
This form will allow the school to deposit any left over financial aid funding directly into your bank account, eliminating waiting in long lines to pick up your Financial Aid check on the first day of classes. This form needs to be submitted at least 10-14 days in advance of the first anticipated deposit. You can also sign up for direct deposit in your MyWSU portal. Login select finances, scroll down to self-service direct deposit.
Authorization to Apply Financial Aid to all charges
This form allows Financial Aid to pay all charges on your account before issuing a check for the amount leftover after tuition is paid. Some examples of charges where this form is needed for Financial Aid to pay directly are: Student Health Insurance, Sports Pass , Chinook, library fines and parking tickets.

WSU Academic Scholarship
Applications are being accepted for the 2010 - 2011 academic year. Apply before Jan. 31, 2010, to be considered for all WSU scholarships.
