PROCTORING FEE:
The fee for proctoring exams for courses delivered outside WSU Tri-Cities is $15 per exam. This fee does not apply to WSU Tri-Cities on-campus students. The nonrefundable fee must be paid at the cashier’s window in the East Building, Room 254 (between the Auditorium and the Commons) prior to taking the exam. Proof of payment must be provided to the exam proctor at the time of exam.  Please note that cashiering and proctoring hours are not the same and the cashier is located in a different building.

View the current cashier hours at:  www.tricity.wsu.edu/studentaccounts.

ALL STUDENTS:
Be prepared to show picture ID.  Personal items (i.e., purses, backpacks, hats, cell phones, notebooks, and electronic devices) are not allowed in the testing area. Once you start the exam, you will not be able to leave the testing area for any reason.  Please take care of personal needs prior to starting the exam. Leaving the testing area during the exam will result in a completed exam.  Be sure to allow yourself enough time to complete your exam within the scheduled proctoring hours.  Regular proctoring hours cannot be extended for the completion of an exam.

WSU TRI-CITIES STUDENTS AND INSTRUCTORS:
Students: Exam proctoring for on-campus courses will be on an exception basis for extenuating circumstances and will be kept at a minimum.  Pre-approval from Academic Affairs is required and must be requested by your instructor in writing.  Please coordinate through your instructor or the program coordinator. The exam fee does not apply to Richland on-campus students.  Please check the EXAM PROCTORING CALENDAR for proctoring dates.  It is your responsibility to confirm your exam has been received by the proctoring office.  Please contact the exam proctor.

Instructors: You must request proctoring approval from the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and explain the circumstances. If approval is granted, please complete the proctoring request form and submit to the exam proctor along with the exam. Remind students to check the EXAM PROCTORING CALENDAR services availability.

View the form at: PROCTORING REQUEST FORM FOR WSU-TC INSTRUCTORS.

WSU ONLINE STUDENTS:
WSU Online (formerly Distance Degree Program, DDP) exams are either written or computer based in Angel Learning System. To request a proctored exam, you may select any one of the options listed below.

  1. www.online.wsu.edu/proctor
  2. www.online.wsu.edu; go to Current Students, My Account, Courses, Proctored Exams
  3. Login to Angel and in course space go to Contents/Syllabus/Work/Proctored Exams

Please allow two (2) weeks for requested exams to be processed and delivered to the exam proctor. You must complete the Proctor Nomination Form provided by WSU Online which is located in My Account (not to be confused with the request form for WSU Tri-Cities instructors). Additional instructions for form completion are listed in Proctoring FAQs.

Multiple exams can be requested at one time but an exam request must be submitted for each exam.  Likewise, you can pay for multiple exams at the same time but request a separate receipt for each exam.  Passwords and written exams are mailed to the proctor. Check with the exam proctor to confirm receipt of exam or check in your current My Account page.

If you still have questions after reviewing the proctoring process, contact WSU Online at online.wsu.edu or call 1-800-222-4978.
